The Machinima Festival is the Academy of Machinima Arts and Sciences‘ annual event showcasing Machinima works, producers and technologies. Founded in 2002, the event has grown from its humble beginnings as an unofficial adjunct to the 2002 QuakeCon in Mesquite, Texas to the definitive Machinima event held in New York City.

The mission behind the festival is the same as that of the Academy itself: to promote Machinima awareness and the artform as a whole.

Festival Date: November 1st, 11am festival program, 8pm awards ceremony.

Festival Venue: Eyebeam center for Art and Technology, 540 West 21st street, between 10th and 11th Ave, New York/USA.

Das Machinima Festival ist ein Event der Academy of Machinima Arts and Sciences und kürt seit dem Jahr 2002 die besten “Filme” in verschiedenen Kategorien. Nachdem am 07. Juli 2008 die Kategorien bekannt gegeben worden waren, war am 22. September 2008 der Einsendeschluss, bis zu dessen Zeitpunkt bereits mehr als 200 “Filme” eingeschickt wurden.
